Clinical Services:

Department of Community Physiotherapy provides physiotherapy services to the populations in Navi Mumbai as well as Raigad District. We assess and render evidence-based treatment to the population either by visiting them in the community or by providing individualized physiotherapy session to the patient coming to our hospital. Our treatment programs incorporate evidence-based best practice with emphasis on health promotion thereby helping the community to gain the highest level of functional independence and thus improving the overall quality of life.

• Disability evaluation and management
• Identifying the need and / or prescription for the assistive devices

  • MGM Hospital, Kalamboli (Women’s Health – OPD/IPD)
  • Old Age Homes (Vishram Dham and Narmada Niketan, CBD- Belapur; Shantikunj Sevashram, New Panvel)

Extension Activities:
Various Camps are organized by our department to train the students to work efficiently in a Community Setup. These camps are educational in nature and also provide physiotherapy services to the community.
